Guard Recruiting Guidelines
SPS traditional recruiting procedures, which attract quality applicants from diverse fields, through colleges, employee referrals, seminars, newspaper advertising, brochures, and trade shows. Each employee or trainee must undergo criminal background check, fingerprinting, and SPS Security Services pre-employment screening before being hired with SPS and Investigations. Each employee must participate in an annual training which involves state laws, patrol techniques, and self-defense. SPS Services manager is personally in charge of verifying that each guard is neatly kitted. SPS Services special safety certifications courses before being authorized to carry work.

Training
SPS has implemented a three-fold training program that is hard to beat.
- Drills training manual developed by qualified security officers
- A self-paced, customer care training program developed by marketing department
- A peer/supervisor facilitated field training program for all new security officers
